Dakota Kai Comments On WWE Release

Dakota Kai was released by WWE over the weekend

WWE announced their latest round of releases this past weekend, with Dakota Kai the biggest name let go from the company.

Reports emerged that Kai was not planning on signing a new WWE deal ahead of her release, and the former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion has taken to Twitter to comment on her exit from the company:

“Above everything, thank you all. I am so overwhelmed at all the love and support. The DMs, txts, tweets… you all have my heart. I love you.

“I am thankful for being able to meet, work, and intertwine with so many beautiful people, people I looked up to, people I learned from… I met some of by best friends over these last few years that will remain in my life forever.

“I don’t know what’s next for me. I chose ‘Evie’ at 17 years old. That chapter is shut...just know this; I am far from being done,” with ‘Evie’ being the name Kai used on the Indies prior to her WWE run.

Kai summed up the statement with “Not another damn notes app lol. Tldr: i love u, see u soon x”
