Daniel Cormier Addresses Possible WWE Match With Brock Lesnar

Could Daniel Cormier face Brock Lesnar in WWE?

Daniel Cormier is set to make his WWE debut at Saturday's Extreme Rules pay-per-view and the UFC Hall of Famer will be in the ring to referee the Fight Pit Match between Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins.

Some have speculated that his appearance at Extreme Rules could lead to a WWE match for Cormier, with some tipping him to face Brock Lesnar, possibly at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view on November 5.

Cormier has not heard anything about a possible match, though, he told ESPN

"I've not heard anything. That's the thing, right? When something like this happens, and this was, honestly, very good for me because people started to talk. People started talking about, 'Oh my goodness, I remember when him and Brock were in the octagon and they were supposed to fight.' So, it seems to make a lot of sense. But as you know, just because something makes sense, it doesn't mean that it's going to happen. So, no, there is no talk of me fighting Brock Lesnar," Cormier said.

Brock Lesnar and Daniel Cormier initially looked set to face off in the octagon back in 2018 following a confrontation between both men after Cormier's win over Stipe Miocic. Lesnar even pushed Cormier inside the octagon but the multi-time WWE Champion ultimately opted not to come out of MMA retirement.
