Darby Allin Set To Be Off AEW TV From End Of March

Darby Allin exiting AEW TV very soon

Darby Allin won't be on All Elite Wrestling programming for much longer.

The former AEW World Tag Team Champion revealed during the post-Revolution media scrum that he will be leaving to climb Mount Everest on March 27, something that will keep him off AEW TV. Allin has been talking about climbing Mount Everest for much of the past year and he began intensive training for the climb in October.

"I talked to the doctors. They gave me a doctor"s note to climb Mount Everest. I leave on March 27," Allin said during the post-Revolution media scrum.

Darby was given a doctor's note after taking some wild bumps in the main event of AEW Revolution, including one where he put his body through a pane of glass after jumping from the top of the ladder. Allin ultimately emerged victorious at the pay-per-view, helping Sting to win his retirement match against The Young Bucks.

Allin addressed his crazy bumps at Revolution, saying: "I wanted to come here to let people know I was still alive. I was in the middle of getting stitched up, but I wanted to show everybody that the doctors are on top of it, I'm still breathing. I feel fine, and as long as Flair, Steamboat, Sting, the Bucks, everybody else feels fine, then we're beautiful."

Sting and Darby Allin were the AEW World Tag Team Champions but they vacated the belts following Sting's retirement. New champions will be crowned in a multi-bracket tournament.

Before Allin steps away from AEW, he will face Jay White at AEW Dynamite Big Business on Wednesday, March 13.

Mount Everest is the highest mountain above sea level. It has an elevation of 8,848.86m and is located in the Himalayas.
