Dario Cueto has signed a long-term deal with Major League Wrestling and will be a regular on TV going forward, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.

Luis Fernandez-Gil reprised his role as Cueto last night in the season finale of MLW Fusion and was revealed as Azteca Underground's El Jefe. The reveal followed months of build-up, during which Azteca Underground purchased Salina De La Renta's Promociones Dorado and former Lucha Underground Champion Mil Muertes made his MLW debut.

During the reveal, Cueto criticised De La Renta before saying he was planning to build a new temple that will require sacrifices.

When asked about the scene by PWInsider, Court Bauer said: "Just like with Vice, we delivered on the hype with tonight's season finale. We started this mystery storyline last June dropping breadcrumbs on Pulp FUSION and almost a year later, fans got the satisfaction of the return of one of wrestling’s truly great villains."

The scene was reportedly filmed in secret in Los Angeles last month and only a few people in the company knew about it ahead of time.

PWInsider also noted that last night was Salina De La Renta's final MLW appearance and she has finished up with the promotion.
