Darius Martin Out For Six-To-Nine Months Following Car Accident
Darius Martin has been out of action for several weeks so far
After suffering an undisclosed injury in late April, it’s now been reported that AEW star Darius Martin was involved in a car accident and could miss six-to-nine months of action.
The news of Martin’s car accident was broken by AEW’s Malakai Black, who revealed the nature of Martin’s accident on the Universal Wrestling podcast:
"He had a really nasty car accident. He's out for, like, six to nine months,” said Black.
The timing of the accident was very unfortunate, as Martin had not long returned to in-ring action after being on the shelf for 13 months from February 2021 until March 2022.
Darius last wrestled on AEW Dark taped April 15, with Top Flight teaming with Frankie Kazarian and The Hardys to defeat the AFO and Max caster in ten-man tag action.
News of Martin’s latest injury was broken on April 22, with Martin later posting a selfie to Twitter of himself heavily bandaged up, wearing a neck brace and wrist splint.
