Date Of John Cena's Final Match Revealed

Further details on plans for John Cena's final match have been revealed.

Cena is currently on his retirement tour and the current Undisputed WWE Champion is set to wrap up his career at the end of 2025, with John Cena's father - John Cena Sr. - leaking on local news in Boston over the weekend that Cena's retirement match will take place in December at Boston's TD Garden.

James Stewart of 98.5 The Sports Hub has since noted that Cena's retirement match is planned for the December 13 episode of Saturday Night's Main Event. They could not confirm if Boston was the planned location of Cena's final match, but WWE were looking for $1.5 million from host cities for a weekend slate of shows which included Cena's last match, SmackDown, an Undertaker live show, and community events.

The Takedown on SI has corroborated Stewart's report and noted that WWE began searching for prospective bidders for Cena's last match two days after the Royal Rumble. The company wanted a host city in place for Cena's final match by the end of April.
