John Cena is currently embarking on his retirement tour in WWE, with it being learned as far back as last year that 2025 would be his final year as a professional wrestler before officially hanging up the boots for good. It is a year of ‘final-evers’, including his final Royal Rumble match, Elimination Chamber match, WrestleMania event, last ever clash with Randy Orton at Backlash 2025, and more, and it will all wrap up in December.

It was suspected previously, but the date and location of his last ever match has now been made official by his father. On Boston news station WCVB, a feature was run on their Chronicle show about New England’s contributions to the world of professional wrestling, and at the end of the feature it was noted that John Cena’s father, John Cena Sr, had revealed that his son’s final match will be in Boston’s TD Garden in December.

This has not yet been announced officially by WWE, though there was heavy suspicion that Cena’s final bout would in fact be in Boston - just an hours drive away from his hometown of West Newbury in Massachusetts. Current plans for Cena’s retirement run have seen reports for a tag team match involving both Travis Scott and Bad Bunny. Cena's upcoming WWE schedule has been revealed until June.
