David Crockett Works AEW Dark: Elevation Tapings
The announcer was back at the commentary table
Legendary commentator David Crockett returned to the announce table last night.
All Elite Wrestling taped AEW Dark: Elevation, Dark and Dynamite at the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina on July 28 and AEW announced Crockett was at the arena on social media.
"Legendary voice of Jim Crockett Promotions and the Superstation @TBSNetwork David Crockett reunited with his former partners @tonyschiavone24 & @JRsBBQ in Charlotte before #AEWDynamite #FightForTheFallen @TheBOplex. TONIGHT - watch Dynamite at 8/7c on @tntdrama," AEW tweeted.
According to F4W Online, Crockett joined Tony Schiavone and Paul Wight to commentate on Dark: Elevation ahead of Dynamite. Schiavone and Wight have been the show's principal announcers since it's inception in March 2021.
Son of Jim Crockett, David Crockett was previously an announcer on Jim Crockett Promotions' World Championship Wrestling from 1985 until 1988. Jim Ross joined the team in 1988 and Crockett departed the commentary booth shortly after to become an executive producer backstage. He remained in the role after Turner Broadcasting purchased Jim Crockett Promotions.
