DDT's Konosuke Takeshita Announces AEW Return After April 10

Takeshita returns stateside

DDT Pro star Konosuke Takeshita announced on Saturday that he would be headed back to the United States after April 10, and specifically said he would be visiting AEW as part of that tour.

The DDT Pro-Wrestling English Twitter account cites Takeshita as saying, "After 4.10, I'll be going to America for a tour. Of course, it'll be at #AEW. I won't be going just to wrestle, it'll be a challenge for Konosuke Takeshita against the world. Until 4.10 please give me your support here."

The 26 year old, ten-year pro wrestled a handful of matches for AEW last April. These included a pair of bouts on Dark Elevation, one a singles win over Danny Limelight, the other a trios victory alongside Kenny Omega and MT Nakazawa over Limelight and Matt and Mike Sydal.

Takeshita also competed at AEW's first ever house show, The House Always Wins, last April 9 in Jacksonville. There, he was part of a ten man tag, teaming with Omega, Nakazawa, and The Young Bucks in a loss to Pac, Penta el Zero Miedo, Rey Fenix, and the Sydals.

Among other accomplishments, Takeshita is a five time DDT KO-D Openweight champion, and recently lost the title to Tetsuya Endo.

AEW Talent Relations VP Christopher Daniels announced earlier in March that AEW and DDT reached an agreement that would see DDT wrestlers appear in AEW.
