Update On Unannounced WWE WrestleMania 38 Match

The card is just six nights away

With less than a week to go before WrestleMania 38, 11 matches and a Kevin Owens confrontation with Steve Austin are officially set for the two-night card. However, there is (at least) one yet-to-be announced match that was still on the books as of Friday.

According to Fightful Select, there is a plan to have a match pitting members of The New Day against a combination of Sheamus, Ridge Holland, and Butch (Pete Dunne). According to Fightful's report, the plan as of March 25 was to run Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods against Sheamus and Butch.

Fightful does note in their report, "... it was reiterated to us that that match could be changed to include Ridge Holland, or scrapped altogether."

The original plan was for a six man tag involving Big E. Of course, Big E sustained a broken neck on the March 11 SmackDown, following an overhead belly to belly suplex at ringside, executed by Holland.

Woods just returned to WWE television on this Friday's SmackDown, pinning Holland in less than one minute. The reigning King of the Ring had been out with a lower leg injury since January.
