Dr. Carlon Colker - one of the names alleged in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and others - has filed a defamation lawsuit against Grant’s attorney Ann Callis.

Colker, and his practice Peak Wellness, filed suit on Friday May 2 2025 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, with Colker alleging that Callis and The Holland Law Firm engaged in a ‘smear campaign’ against Colker, characterising him as unethical and complicit in the alleged abuse of Grant by McMahon. Colker’s attorneys say that Callis knowingly made false and defamatory statements last year about Colker in legal filings and to the media.

Grant alleged that Colker instructed her to take pills and undergo treatments that were not disclosed to her. When Grant questioned Dr. Colker, he allegedly said, "If you don't trust me, we have bigger problems.” Dr. Colker later motioned to dismiss the Bill of Discovery filed against him and Peak Wellness by Grant’s legal team, with Grant’s team opposing this motion in October 2024, later stating they would consider further legal action against Colker and Peak Wellness.

Attorney Erica Nolan said of Colker in October 2024:

"We aim to hold all parties accountable to the fullest extent of the law, assuring those who created, perpetuated, concealed, and benefited from Janel's abuse never have the opportunity to hurt anyone else”.

Colker is asking the federal court to order Callis and her law firm to pay damages for reputational and financial harm, as well as additional punitive damages because he claims her statements were knowingly false and malicious. Colker is also asking to be reimbursed for legal costs.
