Deonna Purrazzo To Make AEW Debut On Dynamite

ROH Women’s Champion Deonna Purrazzo will put the belt on the line on AEW: Dynamite

Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Deonna Purrazzo will make her AEW debut on the May 4 edition of Dynamite, when ‘The Virtuosa’ faces off against Interim ROH Women’s World Champion Mercedes Martinez.

Martinez defeated Willow Nightingale for the interim title at ROH Supercard of Honor in April 2022, when Purrazzo was unable to appear at the event, having been booked for IMPACT’s Multiverse of Matches on the same day.

Purrazzo will be looking to return to winning ways, with the former ‘Champ Champ’ dropping the AAA Reina de Reinas title to Taya Valkyrie at the recent IMPACT Rebellion PPV.

Deonna Purrazzo sits as the second ROH Women’s World Champion, after defeating inaugural champion Rok-C for the gold on the January 9 edition of IMPACT Wrestling, and has so far successfully defended the title on five occasions.

Announced so far for AEW: Dynamite May 4:

  • Deonna Purrazzo (c) vs. Mercedes Martinez (c) - ROH Women's World Championship Unification Match
  • Jeff Hardy vs. Bobby Fish - Owen Hart Foundation Men's Tournament qualifier
  • Wardlow vs. a mystery opponent of MJF's choosing
