Details On How Jordynne Grace's Surprise WWE Royal Rumble Appearance Came Together
WWE reached out to TNA Wrestling for Jordynne Grace's Royal Rumble appearance
One of the biggest surprise appearances at the Royal Rumble 2024 event last night came in the women’s Royal Rumble match as TNA Wrestling star and TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace appeared in the bout. The commentary spoke about TNA and her feud with former TNA wrestler and recently returned WWE superstar Naomi, and she also appeared with the belt around her waist too.
When it comes to how her appearance came to be, Fightful Select have revealed some of the behind the scenes information. The report reveals that WWE reached out to other companies for the Royal Rumble, specifically contacting TNA Wrestling last weekend regarding a potential appearance for Grace.
Throughout the last week, Grace underwent medical evaluations and tests to clear her for the match and she took part in rehearsals too. It is noted that TNA & Grace were “easy to deal with and accommodating during the process”.
It isn’t known if any sort of relationship between WWE & TNA will continue to develop, or whether this will be a similar “one-off” much like Mickie James’ cameo back in 2022 when she appeared as the IMPACT Knockouts Champion in the women’s Royal Rumble match.
