Bayley's WWE Royal Rumble Win Planned For Some Time
WWE had Bayley in their plans for a while for the Royal Rumble
WWE hosted their annual Royal Rumble event last night, and it was a show of some big moments and satisfying victors. Both Cody Rhodes & Bayley emerged victorious in their respective Royal Rumble matches, cementing their places in world title matches at WrestleMania 40 against a champion of their choosing.
Both individuals were amongst the favourites heading in, and at least in the instance of Bayley her victory was something that WWE planned in advance. According to a report from PWInsider, Bayley’s first-time Royal Rumble win was something that was planned for “some time” and it is said that it was not a last minute decision.
Bayley’s current storyline in WWE has seen her forced more and more out of the Damage CTRL faction, so with her current ally Iyo Sky reigning as WWE Women’s Champion, fans have foreseen a potential feud and it looks as though WWE has done also. Bayley entered the match in the number three position, breaking the record for the longest time spent in a women’s Rumble at 63 minutes on her way to winning, last eliminating Liv Morgan.
