Dexter Lumis Could Miss WWE NXT TakeOver: XXX

In the main event of last week's episode of NXT, Dexter Lumis faced off against Timothy Thatcher and Finn Balor for the right to enter the Ladder match for the North American Championship at NXT TakeOver: XXX. While the match is mostly remembered for WWE editing Lumis's dive to the floor, The Creepy B*stard did pick up the win after forcing Thatcher to pass out while locked in a Sleeper Hold.

Lumis might not be able to compete at TakeOver, however, as WWE Digital noted his ankle injury is worse than expected as he suffered an osteochondral lesion to the ankle in last week's Triple Threat. Whether or not the lesion is a storyline injury is currently unknown.

WWE Digital wrote: "WWE Digital has learned that the severity of the ankle injury suffered by Dexter Lumis is worse than previously reported.

"In last week’s NXT Injury Report, it was revealed that Lumis had suffered an osteochondral lesion to the talus after a gruelling battle with Finn Bálor and Timothy Thatcher for a North American Championship Match opportunity.

"Lumis won the bout, but the growing severity of his ankle injury has raised some questions around Lumis’ status for the North American Championship Ladder Match at TakeOver XXX.
