Tony Khan Reveals AEW Is Planning To Release Trading Cards

Collectors get ready...

Trading cards have been a major part of professional wrestling throughout the sport's history and major promotions like WWE, WCW, the NWA and TNA have released their own sets over the years. Currently, only WWE is producing new wrestling cards and WWE Slam Attax Reloaded 2020 was released in the past few weeks.

All Elite Wrestling has taken steps to enter secondary revenue markets in recent months and the young promotion's first line of action figure was released on August 3. Fans can purchase Chris Jericho, Cody, Brandi Rhodes, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega now. A second line featuring MJF, Jon Moxley, "Hangman" Adam Page, Dustin Rhodes and The Lucha Brothers will also be released later this year.

With the release of the action figures, Tony Khan revealed on The Major Wrestling Figure Podcast that AEW is working on their own set of trading cards. IMPACT Wrestling's Brian Myers initially asked Tony if it was something he was considering and the AEW President said: "It is! It is a move. It's happening. It's gonna happen. It's gonna be a huge deal."
