Adam Cole Vs. Pat McAfee Official For NXT TakeOver XXX

What began as an angle on Pat McAfee's radio show in July has resulted in a match for the upcoming NXT TakeOver: XXX.

The former NFL punter, and current WWE contributor, will go one on one with Adam Cole at the event on August 22.

Following the aforementioned confrontation on McAfee's show, he and Cole apparently buried the hatchet on Wednesday night, before the issue was reignited, when Cole confronted McAfee during the NXT broadcast. McAfee managed to strike Cole with a punt before being escorted away.

Triple H appeared on ESPN's "Get Up" on Thursday to issue a challenge to McAfee on Cole's behalf for TakeOver. Cole tweeted, "Let me make this crystal clear for everyone, especially you @PatMcAfeeShow...Hunter is the one who can make this match happen, but I will be the one kicking your ass at #TakeOverXXX...if you’re as bad as you think you are, accept. I dare you."

McAfee accepted the match in a video posted later on Thursday.
