Diamond Dallas Page To Appear On This Week's Episode Of AEW Dynamite
Will present the Dynamite Diamond Ring
Diamond Dallas Page has appeared sparingly in All Elite Wrestling since the company's first show in May, generally seen with Cody Rhodes, such as at All Out, when he accompanied his friend to the ring for his match against Shawn Spears. The former WCW champion last appeared on 23rd October edition of AEW Dynamite, when he joined with Cody, MJF and Dustin Rhodes in a brawl with the Inner Circle.
As announced on AEW's social media platforms, the former WCW champion will appear this Wednesday on Dynamite. He will present the winner of MJF vs. Hangman Adam Page with the Dynamite Diamond Ring. MJF and Page were the final two men in the preceding week's 12-man Dynamite Dozen battle royal.
Page is of course good friends with Cody, whom MJF recently turned on at Full Gear, costing his former mentor the AEW World Championship. Whether or not this is a factor in the presentation remains to be seen.
Diamond Dallas Page being chosen does represent a connection to his own career. At WCW Slamboree 1996, he emerged victorious in the Lord of the Ring BattleBowl Tournament, where he was bestowed a ring. Page then wore that ring to his WCW matches for the next several months.
