Did Kevin Owens Reference His Expiring WWE Contract On Raw?

Owens' WWE deal is reportedly up in January

Kevin Owens has set wrestling social media ablaze after appearing to make reference to the expiration date of his WWE contract.

It was heavily reported a few weeks ago that Owens' deal with WWE is due to expire at the end of January 2022 and the former Universal Champion's behaviour on Twitter seemed to suggest that a move to All Elite Wrestling could, at the very least, be a possibility for the Prizefighter.

Owens was involved in the main-event match against WWE Champion Big E on this week's Raw and, earlier in the show, cut a promo on Big E and Seth Rollins, appearing to reference the fact that his contract is running out in three months.

He said: "It might be for three more months, or three more years, that doesn't matter. What matters is every single time I'm on Raw, you can believe I will do everything I can to give the WWE Universe something to remember!"

Big E also appeared to get in on the subtle hints and Easter-egg fun, telling Owens that 'there can only be one face of Monday Night Raw; this isn't Mount Rushmore.' Owens was, of course, in a stable called Mount Rushmore alongside current AEW stars Adam Cole and The Young Bucks during their time together in PWG.
