Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority President and CEO Steve Hill still considers WrestleMania 42 to have been a success for Sin City despite the lower attendance for WWE's biggest weekend of the year compared to 2025's WrestleMania 41, which also took place in Vegas. Hill did acknowledge the difficulties behind WrestleMania being in Las Vegas for two years in a row, however.

Hill said to Las Vegas Review-Journal: "The event was fantastic and the people there obviously had every bit as much fun as they did last year. But coming back the second year, I mean, we all knew that the bar last year was unbelievably high. The event last year was just spectacular, but spectacular to the point that I think it surprised everybody involved. It wasn't like, 'Oh, no, we knew it would be that great.' It was - it was spectacular. And so doing the second time a year apart, that sequel is a little tough."

Tourism to Las Vegas was down 7.5 per cent to 38.5 million people in 2025, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority announced back in January. President Donald Trump's tariffs and immigration policies, as well as the affordability of Las Vegas, have been cited as reasons for the decline.

Steve Hill also cited higher travel costs compared to WrestleMania 41 as another reason for the decline in attendance for WrestleMania 42.

"On top of that the consumer sentiment and all of that that we've talked about from a general tourism basis, applies to WrestleMania fans, too. And so those two things, I think the event exceeded our expectations," Hill added.

WWE announced an official attendance for WrestleMania 42 of 106,072, with 50,816 on night one and 55,255 on night two. WrestleTix reported ahead of both nights of WrestleMania 42 that 50,386 tickets were distributed for night one and 51,266 tickets were distributed for night two for a total of 101,652.

This was down from the WrestleMania 41 attendance of 118,641 announced by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority of 58,538 for WrestleMania 41 Saturday and 60,103 for WrestleMania 41 Sunday. Pollstar data, however, noted that 113,142 tickets were sold for WrestleMania 41, lower than the attendance disclosed by the authority.

The price of WrestleMania 42 tickets was heavily scrutinised during the build to the show and ticket sales were largely static between December and mid-March before WWE began to drop prices and introduce a number of discounts.
