Back on the May 22 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE announced AJ Styles had been traded to the blue brand for future considerations.

Reports over the weekend noted Dolph Ziggler would be heading to Monday Night Raw as part of the trade, and last night WWE confirmed The Showoff had joined the red brand along with his tag team partner Robert Roode.

The company tweeted: "WE HAVE A TRADE @HEELZiggler fills us in: He and @RealRobertRoode are coming to #WWERaw in exchange for @AJStylesOrg's move to #SmackDown!"

The two Superstars have been teaming together since August 2019, and their partnership has been fruitful so far as they captured the Raw Tag Team Championships back at Clash Of Champions and held the titles for 29 days. Roode and Ziggler were traded to SmackDown soon after and formed a faction with King Corbin during his rivalry with Roman Reigns.

The pair haven't been on TV together since the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, however, as The Glorious One was previously unable to travel to the United States from Canada because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Professional athletes are now exempt from cross-border travel restrictions but the former NXT Champion is yet to return to WWE TV.
