Dr. Wagner Jr. To Debut For GCW At If I Die First

This will mark Wagner Jr.'s second USA appearance since 2019

GCW have announced that lucha legend Dr. Wagner Jr. will make his GCW debut at If I Die First, on February 5 2022.

A mainstay of AAA, Wagner has wrestled all over the world since his debut in 1985, plying his trade for the likes of CMLL, NJPW, and the NWA amongst others, winning titles practically everywhere he’s gone.

GCW President Brett Lauderdale hyped up the announcement on Twitter, simply saying:

“Ive wanted this for YEARS”

Dr. Wagner Jr.’s appearance at If I Die First will be a rarity, as Wagner Jr. has only wrestled in the USA 39 times in his career, managing one appearance in the States in all of 2021, with his previous appearance occuring on an episode of IMPACT Wrestling in October 2019.

No opponent has been announced for Dr. Wagner Jr. yet, with GCW simply announcing Wagner and If I Die First for February 5 in Dallas, Texas, with the Fight Club 2: Houston event taking place the night before on February 4.
