Drew McIntyre Confirms Minor WWE Elimination Chamber Injury

Drew McIntyre injured at WWE Elimination Chamber

After it was noted he may have sustained an injury, Drew McIntyre has confirmed he did indeed suffer a ruptured eardrum during the men's Elimination Chamber match on Saturday, February 24.

McIntyre confirmed the injury during Monday Night Raw, noting he was told by a doctor he might not be able to perform at WrestleMania 40. McIntyre simply used the moment to mock CM Punk, though, as he asked the doctor if he looked like CM Punk before saying that nothing is going to stop him from making it to WrestleMania XL. McIntyre then sat down with his legs crossed, mocking CM Punk's pose from his famous pipe bomb promo.

McIntyre won the men's Elimination Chamber match and he will challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40 as a result of his victory.

As of last word, McIntyre had still not signed a new deal with WWE but the two parties are operating under the assumption that he will be sticking around, particularly as a programme with CM Punk looks to be on the horizon for when the 45-year-old returns from his torn triceps in six to eight months.
