Drew McIntyre 'Very Happy' With Current WWE Creative

All smiles from Drew McIntyre in WWE at the moment

In another sign Drew McIntyre is likely staying with WWE, the former WWE Champion is said to be "very happy" with his current WWE creative and the heel character he has developed, according to Dave Meltzer.

Addressing McIntyre's WWE status on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer said: "No he has not signed a new deal but he seems very happy so far with his new character and he's really excited about it. They're working with the idea that he's not going anywhere but nothing is signed. I think the talk of him taking a lot of time off and everything like that, probably not, and he'll probably sign a new deal."

McIntyre's current WWE deal is set to expire at some point in April after WrestleMania 40. He has been advertised for a WWE house show in Bologna, Italy on May 1, however, and it has been claimed that both parties are operating under the assumption that McIntyre will be remaining a part of WWE for the long term.

After four years as a babyface, McIntyre turned heel in late 2023. He has since become a grouchy member of the roster who is willing to speak the truth about what is happening in WWE. McIntyre has also garnered fan acclaim for his work on social media in recent weeks, particularly him poking fun at CM Punk.
