Bryan Danielson Finally Booked For CMLL Dream Match

Bryan Danielson set to compete in CMLL dream match

The recent invasion of CMLL talents in All Elite Wrestling has seen the stars of the historic lucha libre company clash with the Blackpool Combat Club, and now it seems The BCC are set to storm into CMLL’s home turf for a big eight-man tag team clash.

The team of Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta will travel to the legendary Arena Mexico on March 29 to face Mistico, Volador Jr., Blue Panther, and Ultimo Guerrero at CMLL’s Homenaje a Dos Leyendas event.

For Danielson this represents another career dream, with ‘The American Dragon’ set to make his Arena Mexico debut as part of his final year as a full-time professional wrestler. Danielson has also spoken of his admiration for Blue Panther in the past.

Danielson is expected to wind down and become a part-time/special attraction performer after 2024, and has so far ticked off wrestling in the Tokyo Dome at New Japan’s Wrestle Kingdom 18 on his bucket list. AEW President Tony Khan is said to be letting Danielson ‘do what he wants’ for his final year as a full-timer.

The BCC aren’t the only AEW talents scheduled for Homenaje a Dos Leyendas event, with Willow Nightingale also set to make her CMLL debut, teaming with Tessa Blanchard, and La Catalina against Stephanie Vaquer, Zeuxis, and Lluvia.
