Drew McIntyre Assumed To Be Re-Signing With WWE

Drew McIntyre looks set to remain with WWE

Drew McIntyre looks set to remain a part of WWE.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that WWE and Drew McIntyre are currently working together under the assumption the former WWE Champion will be sticking with the company for the long term. No contract extension has been signed between WWE and Drew McIntyre as of yet, however, which leaves open the possibility that talks could break down. Both sides are keen to get a new deal signed, though.

McIntyre's WWE future has been up in the air since April 2023 after it emerged the two sides were far apart on a new deal. His contract is set to expire shortly after WrestleMania 40 but WWE are advertising McIntyre for a house show in Bologna on May 1, which would be after his current deal comes to an end.

McIntyre has looked more likely to stay with WWE in recent months, especially since his heel turn in late 2023. He is one of the favourites to win the men's Elimination Chamber on February 24 and challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania.
