Potential Sign Drew McIntyre Has Re-Signed With WWE

Drew McIntyre may have re-signed with WWE

WWE may have signed one of their top stars to a new contract.

Drew McIntyre's WWE future has turned into a saga since it emerged following WrestleMania 39 in April 2023 that the two sides had failed to reach a deal over a new contract. As of January, McIntyre had still not signed a new contract with the company and his deal was set to expire shortly after WrestleMania 40 on April 6 and April 7.

There has been no official confirmation but it appears McIntyre may have re-signed in recent weeks or at least agreed to work with WWE beyond his current deal as he is being advertised for the WWE house show in Bologna, Italy on Wednesday, May 1. The event is being held ahead of Backlash in Lyon, France on Saturday, May 4.

WWE wrote about the house show: "Fans attending WWE Live in Bologna, Italy, will see their favorite WWE Superstars from both Raw and SmackDown in action including 'The American Nightmare' Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, Randy Orton, WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY, Drew McIntyre, LA Knight, Bobby Lashley, Kevin Owens, 'Main Event' Jey Uso, and many more. Tickets and VIP packages – including Meet & Greet opportunities with WWE Superstars - go on sale this Friday, February 16."

McIntyre has been one of WWE's featured performers since turning heel in 2023 and he has established himself as one of the top stars on Monday Night Raw. He will compete in the men's Elimination Chamber match at the namesake pay-per-view and Irn Dru is one of the favourites to win the match and challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40.
