WWE have made major cuts to their talent roster in 2021 and the likes of Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Buddy Murphy, Ruby Riott, Bobby Fish and Killian Dain have all been let go by the company in 2021.

Someone who achieved great success after he was released by WWE in 2014 was Drew McIntyre and The Scottish Warrior revealed to Wrestling Inc. that some released talent have reached out to him for advice.

"Yeah, I mean, just to get my thoughts," said McIntyre. "I'll reach out to them, sometimes, just to let them know it's not the end of the line, especially if it's somebody that I know that's got the talent, got the passion, who will keep pushing forward, and keep bettering themselves and start working on maybe some negative areas that they weren't willing to face before, like myself. There were some negative areas I had to improve upon before I returned to WWE."

During his time away from WWE between 2014 and 2017, Drew McIntyre became one of the top stars on the independent circuit and in IMPACT Wrestling. McIntyre enjoyed one reign as TNA World Heavyweight Champion in 2016 and he would also hold gold in EVOLVE and ICW.
