Drew McIntyre Reveals Who He Thinks Should Main Event Night One Of WWE WrestleMania 36

It isn't 53-year-old Goldberg...

Night one of WrestleMania 36 is only 10 days away and will be broadcast from multiple locations on April 4. The Showcase Of The Immortals has a number of matches worthy of being in the main event like Becky Lynch vs. Shayna Baszler, Drew McIntyre vs. Brock Lesnar, Edge vs. Randy Orton, and "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena, but ultimately, only four Superstars will be given the honour.

During a recent interview with Alex McCarthy at talkSPORT, Drew McIntyre said he hoped his match ended Mania as a whole on night two, but that Roman Reigns had been pushing for his Universal Championship bout against Goldberg to main event one of the nights.

The Scottish Psychopath disagrees with The Big Dog, however, as he told McCarthy that he thinks Edge vs. Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing match should round out April 4. He explained that while he respected Reigns, The Rated-R Superstar's rivalry with Orton had become so personal and been built so well that it deserved to main event night one.

McIntyre said: "I've seen Roman pushing the main event of him and Goldberg, and I respect Roman more than most people in the world, but I won the Royal Rumble, mate. I'm the main event. I'm going to pick Brock and I to main event night two because that's the one that sends everybody home.

"For the first night, I'll go for… ah, it’s so hard! Because Roman and Goldberg is for the title and that's very important, it should be the main event. But Edge and Randy Orton is so personal and so well built.

"The situation we're in isn't ideal for most people when having matches, but I know these guys. They're such good sellers and storytellers that it's going to be like a cinematic masterpiece watching their match. That's how it looks in my head. The way they work and the way their facials and their storytelling, I imagine their match will be more like watching a movie."
