Drew McIntyre's Link To Oppenheimer Revealed

Drew McIntyre and WWE share a link with Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer

An unusual connection between WWE and Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer has arisen, with it being pointed out that one of the supporting cast of Oppenheimer, David Krumholtz, has previously appeared as an extra on WWE TV.

Krumholtz was featured on a January 2021 episode of Monday Night Raw as "Drew McIntyre", during which he mocked the then-WWE Champion on The Miz and John Morrison's Dirt Sheet. Krumholtz was booked as "Drew McIntyre" as the real McIntyre could not appear on Raw in the build-up to his WWE Title match with Goldberg at that year's Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

Oppenheimer marks Krumholtz's first movie since his appearance on Raw. The former star of The Santa Clause portrays physicist Isidor Isaac Rabi, one of J. Robert Oppenheimer's close friends in the movie and an advisor to the Manhattan Project that led to the creation of the atomic bomb. Oppenheimer has continued to exceed expectations at the box office since its release earlier this month and the movie has taken $400 million worldwide.

Drew McIntyre is currently filming a movie of his own which will force him to miss tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw. Find out more here.
