Drew McIntyre still hasn't had his suspension lifted following the July 15 edition of Monday Night Raw.

McIntyre has been suspended since the Money in the Bank post-show when he struck Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and laid out multiple referees. Pearce suspended McIntyre but then agreed to bring him back to Raw for a summit following the urging of CM Punk.

Pearce discussed possibly reinstating McIntyre on July 15, noting that everyone wants to see Drew face CM Punk inside the squared circle. McIntyre noted he wanted the match too but he refused to apologise, arguing all the referees had done since WrestleMania is screw him and it had all happened under Adam Pearce's watch.

The former WWE Champion became increasingly irate, at which point Adam Pearce announced McIntyre was still suspended. This led to Drew pushing over referee Rod Zapata before a shouting match between Drew and the Raw GM began. Just as McIntyre looked set to strike Pearce, Seth Rollins, like a good company man, ran to the ring to make the save for his boss.

Rollins ultimately got the better of Drew in their exchange, celebrating with the crowd and Pat McAfee to end the segment standing tall.

CM Punk will return to Monday Night Raw next week. The current plan is for CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre to take place at SummerSlam but the match is not 100 per cent as Punk still needs to be cleared for an in-ring return following his torn triceps in January.
