Dustin Rhodes spent much of his pro wrestling career as part of WWE, but 'The Natural' has no interest in going back to the company.

After a fan on X/Twitter called on Rhodes to return to WWE, Dustin replied: "Nope! I never got a raise there. What, you want me sitting the bench doing nothing? That ain't me anymore. I have done the best work of my career with @AEW. I love the character Goldust, but he ran its course. I did what I was told and it got me nowhere. No thanks."

This prompted a backlash on social media, to which Dustin wrote: "Look, you come at me because you don't like an answer I give, and you bad mouth me, bye. Blocked! And man is my block button on a roll today. Everyone mad because I am having the best yrs at the end of my career, and that I won't put up with the BS of your mouth. It's true fans that I love, not the internet IWC people. They are not fans. I love @AEW and would bleed out for them on national television. I speak my mind whether yall like it or not. I am good to my fans and yes, I shouldn't reply when someone talks something they have no idea about, but like others, I make the mistake of replying. I will do better. I am the Natural Dustin Rhodes and respect is earned not given. So I suggest you haters #KeepSteppin off my feed."

Dustin Rhodes wrestled for WWE across five runs between 1990 and 2019, primarily as Goldust. He has been a part of All Elite Wrestling for the past seven years and was a triple champion in the summer of 2025, shortly before Rhodes took time off to undergo double knee replacement surgery.

In November of 2025, Rhodes noted he was hopeful about returning to the ring in March 2026.
