Dustin Rhodes lifts the TNT CHampionship

Dustin Rhodes is the new AEW TNT champion, winning a four-way match over Daniel Garcia, Sammy Guevara, and Kyle Fletcher at AEW All In on July 12 in Arlington, TX.

Late in the match, Garcia had Rhodes snared in the Dragon Tamer, but Rhodes managed to wriggle around and cradle Garcia to score the pin.

The match was originally meant to be Fletcher challenging TNT champion Adam Cole. However, Cole was forced off the show for unspecified medical reasons. An emotional Cole addressed the crowd before the match, and said that he would be gone for some time.

For Rhodes, it's his first AEW championship. The closest he came was competing for the interim AEW TNT championship against Guevara in 2022. In ROH, Rhodes and Guevara hold the promotion's Tag Team titles, while Rhodes also holds the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team titles with The Von Erichs.

Cole's reign as TNT champion ends at 97 days. He won the title from Garcia at AEW Dynasty on April 6 in Philadelphia.
