Early Footage Of AEW Console Game Revealed

Darby Allin's character was showcased

Early footage of All Elite Wrestling's console game emerged last night.

While Allie and Aubrey Edwards may be the hosts of the AEW Games 2.Show, Kenny Omega stopped by to present early footage of Darby Allin's character in action. The former TNT Champion's character model was shown first before Allin hit a green opponent with two Coffin Drops and a Shotgun Dropkick in an AEW arena.

Development on the AEW console video game started in the summer of 2020 and Kenny Omega is hoping the title will be released in early 2022. All Elite Wrestling partnered with YUKE'S to develop the game and the in-ring action will be inspired by WWF No Mercy, Virtual Pro Wrestling and King Of Colosseum.

AEW has also made a heavy investment in the game and it was recently revealed that Tony Khan's promotion put down an eight-figure sum to get the project off the ground. The game is expected to be released on current and last generation consoles but a Nintendo Switch release had yet to be decided upon as of early 2021.
