Eddie Kingston Believed To Have Suffered Broken Leg

Eddie Kingston believed to have broken his leg

After a hard hitting NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship loss to Gabe Kidd ant NJPW Resurgence, Eddie Kingston was subsequently pulled from the upcoming Anarchy in the Arena Match at AEW Double or Nothing 2024 due to injury concerns over his knee.

Kingston noticeably grabbed his knee after smashing it into the guardrail after taking an apron suplex from Kidd during the match, with images on social media showing Kingston in a wheelchair with his knee in a brace. A report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggests that Kingston has in fact broken his leg, with his injury definitely not a work.

A post-match beatdown by The Young Bucks and Jack Perry gave AEW a kayfabe out, with a returning Darby Allin set to take Kingston’s place in the eight-man brawl at the pay-per-view.

At the time of Kingston’s injury, initial reports did not disclose the severity of the injury, with AEW officials hopeful that Kingston would be cleared for Anarchy in the Arena. Alas that was not the case, with Kingston helped to the back after his match with Kidd, where he was said to have been limping heavily.
