Eddie Kingston To Team With Kazuchika Okada In NJPW

In an unlikely pairing, New Japan Pro-Wrestling have announced that Kazuchika Okada and Eddie Kingston will team together at the promotion's upcoming Rumble on 44th Street pay-per-view in New York City. The event will take place in the Times Square Palladium on Friday, October 28. 

On the show, Okada and Kingston will square off with IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jay White and Juice Robinson. Issues between Kingston and White recently developed at Autumn Attack after White said The Mad King did not have the b*lls to face him after Kingston missed the event. Okada, meanwhile, will challenge White for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 17 on January 4. 

Kingston made his NJPW debut back in October 2021 and he has competed on several shows since then against the likes of Tomohiro Ishii, Gabriel Kidd, and Jake Something. 

Also set for Rumble on 44th Street is a rematch between Shingo Takagi and El Phantasmo for the KOPW 2022 Trophy. Shingo recently emerged victorious from their Who's Your Daddy Match at Declaration of Power but Phantasmo ended the night standing tall after he decked The Dragon with a Low Blow and smashed the KOPW 2022 trophy. The stipulation for their match will be revealed at a later date.
