A Strong Style vs. King's Road match has been made official for New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Capital Collision event on May 14.

NJPW have announced that All Elite Wrestling's Eddie Kingston will go one-on-one with Tomohiro Ishii on the show.

The match came about after Kingston challenged Ishii at Windy City Riot, appearing after The Stone Pitbull's win over Minoru Suzuki.

Within the challenge, The Mad King noted he lives, walks and breathes the King's Road, commonly associated with AJPW, before he praised Ishii's fighting spirit. He then bowed to The Stone Pitbull before heading backstage.

Kingston has been a regular on NJPW's USA shows since he made his debut back in October of 2021 in a Philadelphia Street Fight alongside Jon Moxley against Minoru Suzuki and Lance Archer.

Several other challenges were also issued for Capital Collision at Windy City Riot, so the likes of Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Jon Moxley, and Brody King vs. Minoru Suzuki may be added to the May 14 card in the coming weeks.
