Edge Advertised For Return To WWE SmackDown

'The Rated-R Superstar' is coming back!

It appears Edge is set for a return to WWE television!

The Rated-R Superstar has not been seen since taking part in the main event of WrestleMania 37, competing with Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan in a Triple Threat Match for the Universal Championship, but a new advert seems to have confirmed Edge is on his way back.

A new WWE website advertisement for the July 16 SmackDown on FOX episode - which will be at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas and see the return of live fans - features Edge as being at the show.

Also listed is former Smackdown Women's champion Sasha Banks, who has only appeared on the blue brand briefly since being defeated by Bianca Belair for the Title at WrestleMania 37.

Of course, there is no reason why Edge or Banks won't return to WWE SmackDown prior to this advertised show, although it has recently been reported that Edge is on 'scheduled time off' from the promotion.

WWE Universal champion Reigns, SmackDown Women’s champion Belair, SmackDown Tag Team Champions Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio and Big E are also being advertised for the show on July 16.

The July 16 SmackDown show will mark WWE’s return to touring with fans in attendance, the first city of a 25-stop tour.
