Edge Advertised For WWE SmackDown In Toronto

Edge set to return to Toronto with WWE SmackDown

Edge is set to return to his hometown of Toronto, Canada, after the multi-time world champion was advertised for the upcoming WWE SmackDown show from the city on August 18.

The ‘Rated R-Superstar’ was drafted back to SmackDown during the 2023 Draft, and his upcoming appearance in Toronto's Scotiabank Arena comes amidst much chatter about his in-ring future.

Edge has made no secret of the fact that he is eyeing up his official retirement, with the 49-year-old hinting that 2023 could be the year he hangs his boots up for good. Indeed, during his last WWE appearance in Toronto in August 2022, Edge teased that he could have his final match in WWE in his hometown in the summer of 2023.

The WWE Hall of Famer last wrestled on the May 12 edition of SmackDown, losing to AJ Styles in a WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament triple threat match that also included Rey Mysterio. It remains to be seen what is in store for the former WWE Champion when WWE returns to Toronto.
