El Hijo del Vikingo has officially been pulled from his upcoming AAA Mega Championship match.

Vikingo was set to clash with Alberto El Patron at AAA Guerra de Titanes on November 10.

However, he suffered a knee injury during a TNA television taping on October 27. Vikingo was wrestling Trent Seven when he performed a corkscrew moonsault dive to the outside of the ring and landed awkwardly.

He was stretchered out of the building, but later noted that he had avoided major injury and would only be out of action for around 15-to-20 days.

AAA announced that Pagano will take Vikingo's place in the Mega Championship match. Patron will have Dorian Roldan in his corner, while Pegano will have Latin Lover in his.

Pagano was originally booked in a twelve-man Lights Out match on the show. His replacement in that match has yet to be announced.

El Hijo del Vikingo was reigning as AAA Mega Champion when he was forced to vacate it on March 16 after tearing his meniscus. Nic Nemeth beat Patron to win the vacant title, before Patron won the title for the second time at Triplemania (on August 17).
