Endeavor's Ari Emanuel Eyeing More Sponsors For WWE, Similar To The UFC

WWE could be opening up to more sponsors in the future

Fans will have noticed an increased featuring of sponsors throughout WWE’s events in the last couple of years, with this year’s WrestleMania 39 perhaps being the best example of that. Matches were sponsored by the likes of Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and the Pope’s Exorcist movie. Elsewhere on WWE shows this year, Mountain Dew and Pizza Hut have been featured too as sponsors.

Ari Emanuel is the man at the head of the recent UFC and WWE merger, and he was asked at the TKO third quarter earnings call about the prospect of WWE taking the approach of UFC when it comes to maximizing the use of sponsors at their events.

"Vince [Vince McMahon] has been very open....before he was clean in the ring and around. He is now very open to increasing the inventory that we can work with like we increased the inventory at the UFC, very happy about that and we think there are huge opportunities around the stadium. That's a good sign. We are starting, in some territories, looking at a Friday night, Saturday night, and Monday night for both WWE, UFC, and WWE again. That will give us an indication of our ability to put that on. Once we can prove that model, I think we can take it globally and move it domestically pretty easily. I'll re-emphasize that there is a ton of inventory now that Vince and the team are opening up at the WWE for us."

UFC shows are often covered in sponsors, logos, and more, and when looking at WWE events, there is certainly room for this model to be replicated.
