Entire First Round Of AEW Title Contender Tournament Taking Place Wednesday
Four quarterfinal bouts...
AEW has announced that the entire quarterfinals of the tournament to determine a future number one for the AEW World Heavyweight title will take plus on this Wednesday's edition of Dynamite.
On last week's Dynamite, it was announced that the first match of the tournament will take place. However, a tweet from AEW on Sunday that made it sound like all four of the quarterfinal matches would occur. A note on Figure Four Weekly's website confirms that all four matches are set for Wednesday's show.
The tournament final will take place at Full Gear on Saturday, November 7 in Jacksonville. It's unknown when the winner's title shot will be redeemed.
The card for Wednesday's AEW Dynamite looks like this:
