Eric Bischoff Thinks 'Exciting Things' Will Come From WWE-UFC Merger

Eric Bischoff on the WWE-UFC merger

Having accurately predicted that WWE would be purchased by Endeavor, former WCW Senior Vice President Eric Bischoff expects "exciting things" to come from the sale and WWE's merger with UFC under a new parent company later this year.

Bischoff told TMZ

"I think it was a good move. I think it was time for the company to take that next step, whatever that next step will ultimately be, but I think the combined strength of UFC and WWE...and Endeavor, look, Endeavor is a powerhouse in their own right, there's gonna be a lot of opportunity that is born out of the fact that Endeavor is the owner of this new UFC-WWE company. I think there's gonna be a lot of exciting things. It's a great time to be in the sports entertainment business."

Endeavor announced on Monday, April 3 they had come to an agreement with WWE to buy the company. The merger with UFC gives WWE a value of $9.3 billion. Vince McMahon will remain involved with WWE as the Executive Chairman of the new parent organisation.
