Shawn Michaels Not Interested In Appearing On WWE TV

Shawn Michaels doesn’t want to be on WWE TV anymore

He’s one of the most celebrated wrestlers of all time, and helped lead the WWE during the New Generation Era, but Shawn Michaels has revealed that he’s not interested in appearing on WWE TV anymore.

Michaels now oversees WWE NXT as WWE's Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, and despite some recent appearances during a feud with Grayson Waller, Michaels is now more at home backstage, telling BT Sport's Ariel Helwani

"I'm not a big fan of being on TV," Michaels said. "I love being behind the scenes. For Stand & Deliver, for this push, and for some of the stories, we felt like it worked. But I'd rather keep that few and far between if I can."

The Heartbreak Kid has overseen NXT since Triple H stepped down from his role after suffering a cardiac event in September 2021. The Hall of Famer had worked alongside Triple H at NXT as a writer and producer since 2018, and previously taught classes at WWE’s Performance Center starting in 2016.
