They were released by WWE at the end of June

The former WWE NXT tag-team Ever-Rise will make their AEW debut on this week's episode of AEW Dynamite.

Matt Martel and Chase Parker were released by WWE at the end of June as a part of the company's ongoing budget cuts. The duo had been a part of the NXT brand since 2019.

AEW have now announced the tag-team, going under the names Matt Lee and Jeff Parker, are now known as 2.0. It has also been confirmed that the duo will team with Daniel Garcia to face the trio of Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston and Darby Allin in six-man tag-team action on the August 4 episode of AEW Dynamite.

Cutting a promo shared on AEW's social media, the duo exclaimed that being free agents felt good but that it was important for them to find someone to watch their backs now they're 'the new kids in the neighbourhood'. The three then issued the challenge to the AEW trio, with Tony Khan making the match official.
