A former worker at a Brooklyn, New York daycare, who spent over $350,000 of stolen money on WWE tickets, has pleaded guilty to wire fraud.
The United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York announced on Thursday that Murielle Misczak had pleaded guilty in connection with a scheme to defraud her former employer of over $2.75 million. Misczak faces up to 20 years in prison, as well as restitution of $2.805 million.
Misczak, who was the former director of a German-language daycare, began making fraudulent payments to herself in January 2022 and those payments continued until October 2025. She allegedly stole the money by directing parents to send tuition payments to unapproved accounts she controlled, and then transferring the money to her personal bank accounts.
Misczak spent the money on luxury vacations and food delivery services, as well as over $350,000 on tickets to pro wrestling events, including tickets for deluxe packages for her three children to attend WWE events. As part of those packages, the children met pro wrestlers at Monday Night Raw tapings.
US Attorney Joseph Nocella Jr. said about Misczak's guilty plea:
"The defendant took advantage of her access to bank accounts for the Daycare to steal millions in tuition payments in order to line her own pockets and fund trips to World Wrestling Entertainment events among other personal expenses. Our Office will continue to vigorously prosecute individuals like the defendant who abuse positions of trust and seek to enrich themselves at the expense of services for children."
