Diamond Dallas Page wants to be more involved with WWE and the WCW legend expressed as much to WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque during a recent meeting between the pair.

Speaking exclusively with Cultaholic Wrestling's Tom Campbell, DDP revealed he and Triple H met up when Page was in Stamford, Connecticut to film his recent episode of What Do You Wanna Talk About? with Cody Rhodes.

"I'm really good friends with Triple H, but he's so busy that it's not like I can call him anytime I want. I only call him or check in with him when I have something important to talk about or whatever. I stopped up there to do Cody's show. You've got to remember, I was mentoring Cody when he was 12 years old, more of an adviser. Kind of like Dusty was to Eric Bischoff," Page stated.

"When I came up there, I let Paul know, Triple H know, that I would love to stop in and say hello. He's like, 'Absolutely,' and he took the time for me. I told him, I said, 'Just so you know, I'm up here doing this, and I did some interviews and stuff. I don't want a job, I do very well. I don't need anything, and I don't want to take anything away from anybody, but I do want to be a part occasionally of the show.' Whether it's [WWE] Rivals, like let's see, me and Randy Savage – well, we were the feud of the year in '97. Something's a no-brainer. Me and Goldberg, that match, it could have gone either way. You didn't know. Then there's behind the scenes stories that I could talk about that I haven’t talked about... For me personally, yeah, I'd like to be involved a little bit more than just occasionally coming to the show."

It was recently reported by WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select that Diamond Dallas Page had been discussed within the company as recently as May for a one-off WWE TV appearance in the near future.

While he is open to doing more with WWE, DDP hopes it isn't this summer as he is "completely booked."

"Bottom line, there's a lot of things that I could do, but, again, when I saw that [the report] come out, I just started laughing to myself. So, obviously they're talking about it, but I've never called or asked. If they've got something for me, they'll give me a call. But in the meantime, I hope it's not this summer because I'm completely booked. There's a couple of days that I'm off here and there, but over pretty much summer, a lot of it's booked," he added.

Diamond Dallas Page is signed to a WWE Legends deal and he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017.

The innovator of the Diamond Cutter is primarily known for his legendary run in World Championship Wrestling, where he finished up as a three-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, two-time WCW United States Champion, four-time WCW World Tag Team Champion, and one-time WCW World Television Champion.
