EXCLUSIVE: Matt Hardy Doesn't Rule Out WWE Return To Be Involved With Possible Uncle Howdy Plans

Matt Hardy says 'never say never' about a WWE return

Although he is currently wrestling for TNA, Matt Hardy hasn't ruled out returning to WWE to be a part of whatever the company has planned for Uncle Howdy.

Hardy spoke to Cultaholic Wrestling's Tom Campbell ahead of TNA Under Siege and after being asked if he could see himself being involved with Uncle Howdy's return, Matt stated:

"I just have such a storied history with Windham Rotunda, Bray Wyatt, that I am obviously going to be in consideration for that. It's pro wrestling, you never say never."

Hardy has been a free agent since his AEW contract expired in April. He returned to TNA Wrestling a couple of weeks later, closing out the promotion's Rebellion pay-per-view by taking out Moose.

The former TNA World Heavyweight Champion addressed his return to the promotion, saying:

"I do know TNA, it was very appealing because they offered a few dates, we come do this thing, and that is what made me ultimately make the decision to go with them. I love what they're doing now and it's going to be interesting to see how these next few weeks go. I'm very excited about this event, I'm having my first match at Under Siege that is going to be going down this week."

Hardy, back under his 'Broken' persona, will team with Speedball Mountain's Mike Bailey and Trent Seven to take on The System's Moose, Brian Myers, and Eddie Edwards at Under Siege. The show will air on TNA+ on Friday, May 3.

As part of the reintroduction of 'Broken' Matt Hardy, the 49-year-old plans to evolve the gimmick, comparing this new version to the relationship between Bruce Banner and The Incredible Hulk.
