Exclusive: WWE NXT UK's Aleah James & Oliver Carter Looking Forward To Fans Returning

Cultaholic speaks exclusively to Oliver Carter and Aleah James

NXT UK haven't performed in front of fans since the March 7, 2020, tapings in Coventry, but the return of a live audience continues to draw closer as lockdown restrictions are loosened across the United Kingdom.

While there is no news on when exactly fans will return, Aleah James and Oliver Carter told Cultaholic Wrestling's Mitch Waddonin an exclusive interview they are looking forward to when they can have fans back in the building.

"I think we can't wait for that announcement," Carter said. "I don't know whether it's gonna be an email, a call, it doesn't matter. As soon as we all get that we know, okay, we're almost back to normality. We just can express ourselves more in front of fans and enjoy it with them. And I think for fans who would come to the BT Studios, it's also amazing for them because they only watch it on the [WWE] Network or BT Sport, but now they are in the environment themselves. They can see themselves on TV too and feel the whole thing. And I think just having that perspective is amazing."

"Yeah, it is really exciting," James added. "Because I've had to get used to not wrestling in front of fans, I will have to adjust again but it is very exciting. And I feel like the nerves that you get knowing there are people out there, to have that feeling again and to look forward to that is good."

Following the start of the pandemic, NXT UK went on hiatus but the brand returned in September 2020 and has been taping shows at BT Studios in London, England ever since.
