Fan Brings 'I Believe In Joelinton' Sign To WWE Raw

Joe Hendry may not have been Jey Uso's mystery partner on the March 24 edition of Monday Night Raw from Glasgow, Scotland but the TNA World Champion's catchphrase was adopted by one WWE fan to express their love for Newcastle United central midfielder Joelinton.

John Cena opened WWE Raw, during which he promised to ruin professional wrestling by winning the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41 and retiring with the title, meaning WWE would have to "create a brand new toy belt." Any football/soccer fans would have been briefly distracted during Cena's promo, though, as an 'I Believe In Joelinton' sign appeared behind the 16-time world champion, with the sign also featuring a 2022/2023 Newcastle United shirt.

Joelinton is one of the most popular players for Newcastle United, having initially been a £40 million flop after being signed as a striker for the Premier League side in 2019. Since switching to playing as a central midfielder in the 2021/2022 season, Joelinton has become one of The Magpies' best players and he helped Newcastle win their first trophy in 56 years on Sunday, March 16 as Newcastle United beat Liverpool 2-1 to lift the Carabao Cup.

Whether this will lead to a Joelinton appearance at WWE's house show from Newcastle upon Tyne later this year remains to be seen. WWE's live event in North East England will be held on Sunday, August 24 at Newcastle's Utilita Arena. The show is the same day as AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door in London.
